Toshiba group has been in business in China since 1972. Last year, it ushered in the 40th anniversary of its business development. From 1972, when Toshiba provided China with radio and television equipment and participated in large-scale projects of color TV localization in 1978, to 1991, it established the first joint venture in Dalian. After decades of development, Toshiba has now established 62 enterprises in China, with more than 36000 employees. At the same time, Toshiba's four major business areas, including digital products, electronic components, social infrastructure and household appliances, have all carried out business in China, with a business scale of 77 billion yuan in 2012.
